Family Intervention Program
The Arc Gloucester's Family Intervention Program is a community-based parenting program for families with young children ranging from 0-6 years old.
Our Goal Is:
- To provide services that develop and strengthen family life.
- To promote and enhance overall child development.
- To improve the relationship between parent and child.
We Serve:
- Families with children from birth to six years of age.
- First time teen parents are looking for information and education to assist them in becoming the best parents they can be.
- Fathers that are working to take a more active role in child development.
We Provide:
- Parents with information and education to increase their parenting skills and knowledge of their child.
- Client advocacy and linking the family to additional support and resources. Assistance to families to develop and implement.
- A plan that will make significant changes and resolve ongoing issues. Support within the program that connect with one another and help each other.
- Children with classroom instruction in areas of cognition, fine and gross motor, speech and language, self-help skills and social/emotional supports.
- Organized parent groups utilizing outside speakers who will provide families with information on other community resources and services available to them.
- Home visitor services that provide opportunities to observe and reinforce child-care and development.
