Individuals from The Arc Gloucester Woodbury Achievement Center showed off their art skills at the Senior Art Gallery at Rowan College. Michele, a participant, was brought to tears when she was given an award from the State of NJ and Gloucester County. “The Art Gallery was great! I love doing things. I started to cry because my mom and my sister were going to be so proud.”
The Arc Gloucester assists over 600 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) throughout Gloucester County each year through residential and day programs, family support services, educational programs and so much more!
Krissy Clemente, manager of the Woodbury Achievement Center, said they wanted to do an art project for Memorial Day and chose poppies as their theme. That led to submitting them into the Gloucester County Senior Art Gallery Show. “It was such a great opportunity for our individuals to see their art on display and something they can be proud of.”
